About Mitchells Wine

What makes Mitchells different? Well, we started as a family business in 1938 being the butchers for the new suburb emerging on the south side of Sheffield. A move into Wines and Spirits in the early 1960´s was to be the start of my 40 plus years in the trade, in that time we´ve come a long way from Beer Off to Fine Wine Merchants and encompassing everything inbetween.

I like to think of our shop as a department store, our Off Licence then the Whisky department with over 300 varieties, our Wine shop with a selection of over 700 wines then our hand made cigars, our humidified cigars department is one of the top in the North of England. Our Champagne selection is fantastic then in contrast we have our Beer selection with over 100 plus local and national Beers and all topped off with our fine wine room upstairs!!

Our shop speaks for itself, I´m very proud of the awards we´ve won and I firmly believe that the right product at the right price professionally merchandised sold by knowledgable staff in a well positioned shop will breed success and we have all the ingredients!
