What makes Mitchells different?

Well, we started as a family business in 1935 being the butchers for the new suburb emerging on the south side of Sheffield. A move into Wines and Spirits in the early 1960´s was to be the start of my 40 plus years in the trade, in that time we´ve come a long way from Beer Off to Fine Wine Merchants and encompassing everything in-between.

I like to think of our shop as a department store, our Off Licence then the Whisky department with over 500 varieties, our Wine shop with a selection of over 900 wines then our hand made cigars, our humidified cigars department is one of the top in the North of England. An ever expanding range of premium spirits & Liqueurs, Our Champagne selection is fantastic then in contrast we have our Beer selection with over 100 plus local and national bottle Beers.

Our shop speaks for itself, I´m very proud of the awards we have won and I firmly believe that the right product at the right price professionally merchandised sold by knowledgeable staff in a well positioned shop will breed success and we have all the ingredients!
