Pol Roger non vintage has long been instantly recognisable for not only the classic script of label but for the distinctive white foil closure. It's the trademark hence the popular sobriquet "White Foil"
White foil is never sold until the youngest component is a minimum of 3 years old, notwithinstanding the rules of the CIVC (Comite interprofessionel du Vin De Champagne) which permit the release of wines after only 15 months.
