Located in the right heart of the Medoc region and adjoins te prestigious Saint-Estphe and Pauillac appelations. The vineyards are mainly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon 75% that is ideally suited by the type of terroir in Cissac where its strengths and aromas can release their full potential. Blended with 20% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot the wines of Chateau Cissac combine the strengths of the Medoc and the aromatic elegance of a great Bordeaux. 

Château Cissac is notoriously slow to develop and regularly needs 10-15 years to soften and reveal its true character. Owned by the Vialard family, who are dedicated to their wine producing, this is Cru Bourgeois that consistently out- performs its classification. Since the 2000 vintage the wines have undergone more modern extraction methods giving the wines more fruit, balanced tannins from which they can be drunk younger.
