Origin The national flower of Malaysia, where MONIN's Asian production is based, Hibiscus was developed as a MONIN syrup flavour after being selected as the winning entry of a company contest to suggest new flavours. An edible flower eaten as a delicacy, Hisbiscus is often consumed as an infusion.
