2009 vintage Armorik Breton single malt whisky, released as part of their Maître de Chai range. This was drawn from two Sherry butts which were laid down in 2009 and cracked open in 2016. A release of 1,800 bottles of tasty, well-Sherried French single malt.
Nose: Prunes dipped in honey, spicy oak leading to fragrant waves of orange oil.
Palate: Sweet plum with a few drying touches of cacao and cinnamon. Rather malty.
Finish: Oak once again, supported by very light smoke and juicy Oloroso.
