Oliva Serie V Festive Tabolisa Double Robusto

In 2019, Oliva Cigars opened its new state of the art production facility “Tabolisa Uno” to create healthier working conditions, improve quality control and boost productivity. To celebrate the factory grand re-opening, Oliva is introducing a limited edition replica box made to look just like this beautiful new factory.

Only 1,000 hand crafted “Tabolisa Uno” boxes have been created. Each box will be numbered, to underscore its unique character. It contains 10 Oliva Serie V Double Robusto cigars, all individually wrapped resting in its own wooden box. These smaller boxes make up the windows and doors of the replica factory. A tremendous amount of work went into this project and we are very proud of our teams in Miami, Nicaragua and Belgium for all their efforts to bring this project to fruition.

The 1,000 boxes represent the first 10,000 cigars ever produced in the new “Tabolisa Uno”. These first generation Serie V Double Robusto produced in the new factory have been especially well kept. They’ve aged so beautifully for 3 years, granting them an even richer flavor than the Serie V production cigars which aficionado’s have been adoring for years. “Tabolisa Uno”, located in Estéli, Nicaragua, not only doubled production from 50 to 100 pilones of tobacco, it was built in a manner that ensures a constant temperature and humidity. The environment is not only more pleasant for the people working there, but also a superior environment for the cigars and the premium tobaccos used. Under the motto: “every detail counts”, the factory has been designed to take every measure necessary to raise the level even further for the already outstanding quality of Oliva Cigars.

“We are so proud that we can offer this little piece of art to the market.”, comments Fred Vandermarliere. “We do it to honor the people who worked day and night to make this happen. But we dedicate it especially to one person: Wilman Cahvarria Galeano, the architect who not only designed “Tabolisa Uno”, but also oversaw the project. A fantastic guy turned all our wishes into reality. Last year Wilman unfortunately passed away due to Covid-19 and we still miss him every day. As the entire project is in large part due to Wilman’s dedication and hard work we want to commemorate him with this first box 0001. It will be presented to his family in Wilman’s honor.

The Serie V cigar is a complex blend of Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos. They are blended with special fermented Jalapa Valley ligero and finished with a high priming Habano sun grown wrapper.
