Diplomatico Familia

Diplomático's Selección de Famila, which translates to 'Family Selection', is made with close interaction from the brand's family owners. They have personally selected the barrels of rums (the oldest being 12 years old) for this release alongside the Maestros Roneros (rum masters) at the distillery. All rum has been aged initially in charred American white oak barrels and then finished in ex-bourbon ex-whisky and ex-sherry casks after blending. Bottled at a higher strength of 43%, this is said to be drier and spicier than the Reserva Exclusiva.

20g/l of sugar dosage has been added to this rum during the blending stage.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose : Well-balanced aromas of sugarcane, honey and red fruits followed bynotes of vanilla and oak.

Palate : Wood and plum aromas combine with toffee notes for a wellrounded,long-lasting finish.
