Single Barrels are not new in the Jack Daniel’s portfolio, but the “standard” Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Whiskeys are always bottled at drinking strength. Different from those 45% ABV bottlings this new Jack Daniel’s Sinngle Barrel Barrel Strength presents 64,5% ABV.

Like all Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskeys the Single Barrel also undergoes the charcoal mellowing procedure where the whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal to get its very smooth and mellow character. In the warehouses the barrels that are intended to host the whiskey for the Single Barrel bottlings will only be stored in the top floor. Maturation is fast up there because of the high temperature fluctuations between the seasons and the stretching and contracting of the whiskey that causes intense wood contact.

The Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Barrel Strength presents intensive vanilla notes and caramel aromas.
