A single cask, peated BenRiach with a rather tropical cask maturation! Distilled in February 2005, this Speysider spent its 14 years of ageing in a single cask which previously held rum. It was bottled in 2019 with an outturn of 225 bottles, boasting a brilliant balance of smoke and tropical rum influence.
Nose: Barbecued pineapple and wood smoke, with notes of roasted coffee bean and nutmeg.
Palate: Lots of tropical fruit sweetness leads into wood smoke, dried fruit and a dusting of cocoa.
Finish: Cantaloupe and coffee ice cream linger.
