Irish single malt whiskey and Irish single pot still whiskey in a unique vatting resulting from 100% Barley distilled in copper pot stills with no grain whiskey as in a Scottish blended whisky.
Distilled three times for extra smoothness and aged to perfection in flame charred ex-bourbon barrels.
Nose; Flashes of apples with hints of vanilla and honey over a distinctively and most noteworthy Irish pot still base.
Taste; Gently spiced with a hint of ginger and butterscotch. Background notes of toasted oak.
Finish; Long elegant, subtle notes of milk chocolate and almonds.
Writerṣ Tears is a salute to the Great Irish Writers of not only this generation but of bygone years.
