Such a seductive wine! Glowing in the glass, it offers a nose of sweet red candy, some raspberry leaf, rhubarb compote, a touch of orange peel and white pepper! So complex; fresh though rich. There's similar fruits on the palate, in a medium-bodied frame, with a twinge of sappiness coming through. Succulent and fresh all the way through the finish.

This wine is excellent now, and will hold up really well over the next decade.

This bottle from Schwarz definitely ticks all the right boxes when it comes to bringing a big smile to the dining table, and it’s going to pair very well indeed with roast dinners (especially chicken and turkey), smoky barbecued meats, and Indian curries like rogan josh or jalfrezi. It loves the kick of Mediterranean spices - especially paprika - so feel free to serve it with a meat-based or vegetarian goulash or paprikash, or a deliciously slow-cooked tagine.
