Down The Lane Shiraz Tempranillo
Fresh early January rains prepared vines for what was to be a mild & then dry Riverina vintage which allowed for a wonderful expression of fruit aromas and flavours and allowed the retention of natural acid in most varieties. The King Valley experienced near perfect growing conditions with a warm season, dry Autumn and timely rainfall and likewise the Yarra Valley which produced wines with a good balance of flavour.
Shiraz and Tempranillo are awesome partners in this blend. De Bortoli Down The Lane Shiraz Tempranillo has the sweet spicy fruit power of Shiraz and is rounded off by the savoury elements and rustic tannins from the Tempranillo supported by carefully integrated oak.
