Quinta Dos Carvalhais Dao Encruzado
Encruzado is the finest white grape of the Dão. It produces deliciously crisp wines and can stand up to oak ageing - gaining lovely buttery richness. This Encruzado from top Dão producer Quinta dos Carvalhais perfectly marries the citrussy vibrancy of this grape with toasty notes from the oak.
The wine is bright yellow in colour. It has intense aromas of peaches and nectarines, as well as floral notes of jasmine and orange blossom and well-integrated notes of brioche from the oak ageing. The palate is fresh and balanced with vibrant acidity and a long, persistent finish.
