Chateau Castelbruck Margaux
Château Castelbruck is the second wine of Château Haut Breton Larigaudière, a 15 hectare Margaux estate between Soussans and Arsac bought by the current owners, the Schepper family, in the 60s. Soils are a combination of deep gravel, sand and clay. After a cold maceration, fermentation takes place in both concrete and stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in oak, 25% new, for 12 months followed by a further 8 months in stainless steel vats. The estate is HVE certified and managed sustainably.
Generous, deep and brambley with cedar spices on the nose, followed by a savoury and rich palate of smooth tannins and concluding with a delightfully fresh finish.
