A 28 year old single malt from Wemyss Malt, built using 31 hogshead and sherry butt casks from the Bunnahabhain Distillery on Islay! This 28 year old whisky packs some deliciously rich notes of honeyed cereals, dried fruit, and warming spices. Satisfying stuff for sure.
Nose: Dried cherry, dates, cinnamon, caraway, brownies, walnuts, new leather.
Palate: Honeycomb, rye toast, chocolate spread, brown sugar, a hint of malt loaf, salted caramel.
Finish: Shortbread, nutmeg, clove, a very subtle whiff of floral barley.
